Immigration trends from 1880-present
Immigration to the US from which countries. This is a fun little map that lets you see the immigration trends since 1880. You can pick a country and see when and where they have immigrated to and what the trends are for these populations. You might even find your own anscestors' timeline or heritage. Check it out. It's all in good fun.

this is really an interesting map. I checked every place I had lived, and of all of them, Logan has the highest percentage of foreign-born residents. Obviously, I have never lived in a diverse location. I wonder how our exposure to persons from other countries affects our feelings about immigration. In a university community, we meet students and faculty from other countries. But how much do we interact with them?
